Jonathan is the co-founder of City Coach Multisport, and has been coaching endurance athletes for 30-years. He holds a Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology and has past or current certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and USA Cycling. Jonathan coached for JackRabbit Sports since 2004 and for Nike from 2002-2014. In addition, he is the co-author of The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Weight Training and has written for Metro Sports Magazine, NY Runner and Triathlete Magazine. He has been a featured speaker for Nike, New York Road Runners Club, Chelsea Piers Triathlon Club, The Hospital for Special Surgery, and TRIARQ.
Jonathan is a former Cat 3 cyclist and on rare occasions can still be seen competing in multisport events. He lives in the Bronx with his wife, triathlete Nicole Sin Quee (a/k/a Mrs. Coach Cane), and their son Simon.
Kai has been with City Coach since 2017. He started running in elementary school earning his first medal as the district champion in the 800 meter. He continued stay active throughout his school years and now he is working to qualify for the Boston Marathon.
As a RCAA certified running coach and an experienced community leader, Kai brings his experience and knowledge from working running communities including runners of all levels and open up City Coach to even a broader range of runners. Kai also oversees all running programs for our Corporate Fitness division.
